As a new mom, it is very common to put others first, like your baby and your spouse and maybe even your friends and family. Doing this on a consistent basis for a long period of time can lead to serious feelings of resentment, loss of self, and declining wellness. This does not have to be your reality! There are many little things you can do each day that will add up to a feeling that you are not always doing things for others, but also considering your needs and your desires as well.
It can be hard to put yourself first. Many moms feel guilty about this. But the reality is: if you don't take care of yourself, you won't be 100% for those that mean the most to you.
